Preventative Health Care

The Cat Doctor, S.C. believes that preventative health care is the most effective and least expensive way to keep your cat healthy. Wellness visits, providing complete physical examinations, are the basis of our health care program. Vaccinations, while an important part of the defense against infectious diseases are no longer administered on a yearly basis. Rather, they are given on an individual cat basis, depending on that cat’s activities, age, and health status. Routine, baseline bloodwork, x-rays, and other testing may be suggested, depending on the results of the physical examination and your cat’s history. In addition, our extensive pediatric and geriatric programs allow us to provide specialized medical care, dental care, surgery, behavioral and nutritional counseling, as well as advice for special home care during each stage of your cat’s life.

The entire staff of The Cat Doctor, S.C. is dedicated to providing exceptional service and quality care for cats and their people. We are here to answer your questions and to help educate you about the best possible care for your feline companion. We provide time during our office visits to discuss home care, answer questions, and to keep you informed of the most current health care. We are experienced in behavior counseling and education in the prevention and correction of inappropriate behaviors.
